I do not want to be anyone’s food police, so when I see people post pics of their meals on their socials with the caption “oh my trainer is going to kill me for this”. It pains me.
To see a person feel like they have to justify what they to another person. You have automony over your body. What you choose to eat, is your choice and to feel guilt or shame over those choices, is sad.
No-one should feel threatened that someone will shame them for their food choices. Absolutely, I will always guide you towards making the appropriate food choices, for your goals.
But as a nutritionist and trainer I don’t ever want to be your food police.
Telling you, what you can or cannot eat this, (of course I would tell you outright not to eat anything poisonous!). My job is to help you make informed decisions about your food choices.
In fact, most of the time when I’ve helped women improve their eating behaviour, it’s mainly been about busting unnecessary and sometimes harmful food myths which have kept them in a vicious cycle of guilt over food, for years.
And that’s my main aim to provide credible and helpful nutrition and fitness information to women who want to either lose weight or want just want feel better. So they can free themselves from feeling guilty, uncertain or worried about what they eat.
But in the end, it’s your choice.
You’re a grown, intelligent woman.
Look, if you want to spend a day eating chocolate that’s your choice. However, if that’s a choice which makes you feel upset about your health and body, then I’m here to help you free yourself from that cycle with the Foundation Program in the Soar Society.
Take a look at the society, here.
