How many times have you said that to yourself? It’s an interesting statement because ‘fat’ is not a feeling.
So I ask you, when you say ‘I feel fat’, what are you really saying?
Are you saying you feel tired, overwhelmed, sad, dissatisfied over your body shape, disappointed you don’t fit your clothes, as you want?
What is the real going on?
I have analysed this for myself. I found what I was really saying, I was embarrassed over my body shape.
Disappointed at myself to not have achieved my body recomposition and weight loss goals.
I felt like a blobby failure.
When I realised this, I did some hardcore self compassion work.
And forgave myself for not meeting my goals, because the truth was I was in survival mode.
That’s all I could do in that moment, and now that I have other survival skills, I am now more able to achieve my goals.
Your body has gotten to today. It’s worthy. Just like you.
